They say persistence is key to success. Whether it be in business or life in general, failure only happens when you finally give up once and for all.
So, here we are again, restarting this journey to a healthier, more active, compassionate, spirit filled life. Today is the start of day 2 of eliminating processed foods, getting a grip on portion control, and becoming more active.
Each day we will be drinking 1/2 our body weight in ounces of fresh Kangen 9.5 water (www.mywatershealthy.com), a pinch of Pink Himalayan sea salt and taking 10 Ukon capsules (our tumeric supplement).
Today going forward, we are also doing DDP Yoga (www.ddpyoga.com). Once I get to a point of feeling comfortable to workout in public, we will be utilizing our free gym. ;)
Portion Control:
To help with portion control and ensure we are getting a good variety in our diet, we have purchased an "As Seen on TV" 21-day fix kit from Walmart for about $10. We also went to Target and purchased some multi-colored sandwich bags (which are perfect for prepping snacks) and a variety of reusable containers.
Day 1 Breakfast:
I struggle with eating breakfast, so until I get in
the habit of eating as soon as I wake up, I am starting
my day with a Slimfast shake. This will phase out
of my diet over time.
1 scoop chocolate Slimfast
1 c dark chocolate Silk Almond Milk
Day 1 am snack:
Fresh Cantaloupe (2 red)
Day 1 Lunch:
To help make this first week easier, we purchased a
rotisserie chicken to make some chicken salad for lunches.
Our go to mayo substitute is Veganaise, but we decided to try
this new brand called "Just Mayo".
Lunch was a HIT!
Shredded chicken (1 purple)
Red grapes (1 red, 1/2 in salad & 1/2 on side)
Slivered almonds (1 yellow)
Just mayo (1 yellow)
Mix together and stuff into 3 leaves of red leaf lettuce (1 green).
Top with mustard.

Fresh pineapple (2 red)
Day 1 dinner:
I struggle with carbs and dinner is always the worst time of day for this.
So, I made sure to save my carb/starch portion for this meal and made
garlic mashed potatoes. :)
Pork chop cooked on George Foreman with Kick'n grill seasoning (1 purple)
Garlic Mashed potatoes (1 orange)
Fresh broccoli (1 green)
Fresh asparagus (1 green)
Seasoned everything with Pink Himalayan sea salt.
Today, aside from dinner, will be the same menu. Will update once
we decide what we will be having.
Off to deliver some Kangen Water to a new client and then get ready
for an Expo on Saturday.
Have a blessed day! Message me if you'd like to join in on this adventure!
Would love to share recipes, struggles, ideas, etc!
